HOW IT REALLY HAPPENED (2019)
A redesign of a book of mythologies around the world. Since Buddhist religion is very much rooted in the real world and the modest acts of everyday life, I illustrated the story of buddha with my personal narrative portrayed through Instagram.

OPEN YOUR EYES (2019)
We are so used to seeing mere representations around us, that we rarely even pay attention to the absurdity of the “fake world” surrounding us. If this fake world manages to satisfy our humane needs, does it really even matter what is "real" and what is not? How far can we detach from “reality” and still feel happy and satisfied?
Supervisor: Mischa Leinkauf

HYPNOSIS (2018)
Hypnosis has been practiced for over 200 years, but we still don’t know how and why it works the way it does. We see what a person does under hypnosis, but it isn't clear why he or she does it. The underlying question is the mystery of human consciousness. Some scientists believe that through hypnosis, we get a rare chance to tap into the unconscious side of the human brain.
Supervisor: Jakob Schlötter

SUBLIMINAL TRANSIT (2019)
Dreams are a way of looking into the subconscious mind. In my film, the protagonist explores different dream states from NREM to REM sleep, dreaming of abstractions and the real world.

POLITICAL ACTIVISM AS A SPECTACLE (2018)
The spectacle of modern society reaches beyond the industries of merchandise and business. The spectacle has also become the framework of social movements. The commercialisation of protest is a subtle and complex issue of the underlying power structures of capitalism that aims to turn everything into a pre-orchestrated, commercial event. Through the Occupy movement, the tent has become a symbol of protest, occupation and resistance. Mass-produced fashion items with political slogans are an example of the neoliberal takeover of the aesthetics of protest.
Supervisor: Henrik van Leeuwen

UTOPIAN CULTURAL HERITAGE (2018)
In this project we imagined a utopian world with cultural artefacts that exemplify the culture and the working mechanisms of our world. Our utopia, HMNVA was based on the principles of randomness, transparency and valued boredom.
Supervisor: Richard Niessen

HYPCONDIS (2020)
Hyper-connectivity is blurring the border between offline and online worlds, while erasing any meaningful distinction between public and private identities. Our emotional skills have become indistinguishable from our skills of commodifying the self online. Our relationships manifest themselves online, while the social algorithms define the rules of the game. Technology that seems liberating at first, hides behind a set of constraints that occlude alternative forms of communication. Are you using the technology or is the technology using you?
Supervisor: Barbara Junge & Julian Adenauer
